Some leftovers in the waist to chest high range at south spots closest to the tip of Rincon. The wind is a little gusty from the ENE and the waves are a little mushy, but you still see everyone warming up for the contest this weekend. I honestly don't know if there's going to be waves this weekend for the contest. The waves we have right now will already be on the decline. By Saturday and Sunday we're looking pretty flat right now. In fact, we're looking small to flat here in Rincon for about a week after the pulse we have now dies out. A stronger background pulse and wrap-around swell is possible for the weekend too though so nothing is set in stone. I hope some surprise long period swell shows up or something. That's the latest forecast for surfing Puerto Rico.
