Still some background swell lingering around in the water. Eventually the surf should pick up by mid-week. The south side of Rincon is perfect for kids, learners, and longboarders at the moment at around knee to waist high. The north side of Rincon is already choppy. As of right now the weather looks like Wednesday/Thursday is going to happen for real. We should get a solid head high swell on those days with lighter winds forecast for Thursday. Bouy data in the Atlantic and Satellite imagery confirms a proper wave-maker from this storm. High pressure is building in behind the front so Wednesay may be a bit gusty. After the swell passes we look to get another pulse around the 22nd. That's the latest forecast for surfing Puerto Rico.
