Daily Rincon Surf Report - Comments
Monday, February 1, 2010 (2-1-10) 8:30 am Avg Size: Knee High Biggest Wave Seen: Waist High Winds: Hard East winds all day long at 15-20 mph + Water Temp: 81 F Air Temp: 78 F
The bouy was reading swell all night so it's only a matter of time before it hits us. The angle is very northeast but the period was around 14 seconds which should be strong enough to get us going in the chest high plus region by later on today. The winds will be blowing very hard though and the tucked away south may be the only option. Right now it's about knee high and best at the tucked away south. North side will be crappy chop fest all day. Any more days of solid waves for surfing Puerto Rico? Check the forecast further down.

This high pressure is killing us. The fronts are going up and over our sweet spot in the atlantic and throwing back NE or ENE swell instead of the N and NW swell we got used to last month. Tomorrow should have some leftovers a notch smaller than it gets today. After that we'll just have to wait and see what makes it here from the next storm system to pass for the weekend. That's the latest forecast for surfing Puerto Rico.
