This is a rough weather pattern for Rincon. We have NOT been getting afternoon showers to cool off the summer heat. The summer heat has been blazing! The upper-level winds around the island along with a dry air patch have formed a force-field of flatness over the island. TD2 was sheared to pieces and completely killed as it approached. We do have another Tropical Disturbance. If the steering currents can take it North of the island it might have a chance, but it won't really have an opportunity to rapidly intensify until it's away from our wind-shear forcefield. Additionally, since the swell will mainly be East swell, Rincon will not get most of the swell. The North side of the island and Isabela area should be pretty big though. Any potential surf for Rincon depends on a lot best-case scenarios coming together about 6 days out. That's the latest forecast for surfing Puerto Rico.
